Educational Webinar: The Strategic Value of Value

nThrive recently partnered with the National Rural Health Association on Nov. 6 to host a webinar on value-based care. “The Strategic Value of Value” was presented by nThrive Chief Medical Officer Carl E. Couch, MD, MMM, who is an expert in population health and helped to launch a successful accountable care organization (ACO).

In the presentation, Dr. Couch explains, in simple terms, that value equals quality over cost. However, he adds that value means different things to different stakeholders. In this webinar he discusses the meaning of value to providers, payors and patients and why it is important to recognize the needs and concerns of all to implement a successful value-based care initiative. He also discusses essential requirements to achieve comprehensive population health results, calling out population segmentation, clinical integration and disease management nurses as particularly crucial when investing in value-based care.
