Alpharetta, Georgia, November 27, 2017 – nThrive™, an independent Patient-to-Payment℠ solutions company, won the coveted Brandon Hall Group gold award for excellence in the Workforce Management category, naming nThrive Best Unique or Innovative Workforce Management Program.

nThrive’s winning application was titled, “Developing Successful Medical Coders from the Ground Up,” and features the company’s unique approach to developing and hiring medical coders in the state of Vermont and with health care providers throughout the country, as part of the nThrive Education Transitions Program. The program provides education and training to unemployed and underemployed workers, many whom have no health care experience. Upon successful completion of the program, graduates qualify for high-demand health care jobs, such as medical coders, billers, patient access representatives, clinical documentation improvement specialists, and patient financial service representatives. The nThrive Education Transitions Program has successfully empowered its clients to develop staff from their current organization or from within the community to have long-term career opportunities.

“Excellence Award winners symbolize the power and impact that Human Capital Management practices can have on a business or on any organization,” said Rachel Cooke, chief operating officer of Brandon Hall Group and head of the awards program. “Many organizations can have great HCM initiatives, but the standard of excellence only applies for organizations whose HCM practices truly benefit the business. That’s what the Excellence Awards program stands for, and that is what Brandon Hall Group stands for.”

Often times called the “Academy Awards” by Learning, Talent and Business Executives, the award entries were evaluated by a panel of veteran, independent senior industry experts, Brandon Hall Group analysts and executives based upon the following criteria: fit the need, design of the program, functionality, innovation, and overall measureable benefits. Excellence Award winners will be honored at Brandon Hall Group’s HCM Excellence Conference January 31 – February 2, 2018, at the PGA National Resort in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.

“This Excellence Award is an honor and holds international and cross-industry value,” says Tom Ormondroyd, president of nThrive Education and Analytics. “It also emphasizes the need for this type of transitions program. We saw health care organizations struggling to fill positions, and communities with high unemployment so we decided to build a program that mutually benefits health care organizations and job seekers, including veterans, who want a chance to elevate their opportunities. We have a hand in moving health care forward by addressing revenue cycle staffing challenges and ensuring health systems are more financially and operationally sound.”
